About Us
Who We Are
Foothills Christian Schools are a ministry of Foothills Christian Church in El Cajon, California. The school and its facilities are owned and overseen by the church. Our teachers bring valuable experience and a shared commitment to partnering with parents in the Christ-centered education of their children. The Church Board of Directors serves as the School Board, providing governance and oversight, while the acting principal is responsible for the school’s daily operations.

As Christians, we have a greater purpose in education than simply gathering knowledge. The more we learn in every subject, the more we understand about our God and His work. Our textbooks are written with the ultimate goal of training each student to think about the world the way God does.
The Christian worldview shines through every BJU Press textbook, enabling students to see God’s hand in science, math, history, literature, fine arts, and language. Our goal is to train students to think right so that they will make right decisions for themselves, their families, and their world.

The purpose of Foothills Christian Elementary School is:
• To work with parents to train their children in a Christian worldview as a foundation for education, and to protect the God given right of parents to direct the education and training of their children.
• To provide a Christian outlet for the social needs of children in grades
Kindergarten through Fifth.
• To equip parents to take an active role in their child’s education and
work with them to ensure a highly rewarding experience for both.

Admissions
What you need to know about enrollment
Before students are enrolled it is required that parents meet with the administrator.
If you are interested in 2025/2026 school year please contact the school office to make appointment (619) 561-2295 starting in January of 2025.
